Follow your Career Breadcrumbs

Lisa Plain (Petkovsek)Blog

You’ve left a trail.

You might not be aware of it, but it’s true. I like to call them career breadcrumbs and they are bits of valuable information about your past jobs, hobbies, and life in general, that will help you figure out what will make you happy at work.

They are hidden in stories, complaints, achievements, proud moments, and even in the worst moments.

If you’re searching for fulfillment in your career, collecting your breadcrumbs is the best place to start.

When I work with a client on career discovery, I ask a lot of questions. I pull out stories of happiest times, of what you’ve liked and disliked. Stories about when you are lit up. Or what’s happening when you feel demotivated or drained.

So, my coaching prompt for today is: When have you been happiest at work? What made you so happy?

Email me at lisa@careerbalancecoaching.com with your answer. ✨
